Two new character classes arrive for Black Desert on consoles

January 9, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Pearl Abyss has released two character classes for the console versions of Black Desert.  These new characters are Kunoichi, the Mistress of Blades for the Xbox One edition and Valkyrie, Elion’s Chosen for the Playstation 4 edition.  Check these new characters out in the trailers below…

Kunoichi the Mistress of Blades will be available to all players on the Xbox One and is equipped with a Kunai Shortsword.  As her title suggests, Kunoichi is an expert with swords and is able to use the following skills in battle:

  • Flash Slash – Kunoichi is able to disappear and unleash a powerful hit upon her enemies.
  • Kuno Stab – Using her expert reflexes, Kunoichi is able to use her Kunai to stab the vital areas of her enemies.
  • Ninjutsu: Shadow Explosion – The Kunoichi draws a tremendous amount of power from the shadows and use these to unleash an explosion in front of her, knocking back opponents.
  • Tragic Blade – Using her powers of deception, Kunoichi tricks her opponents to think that she is vulnerable, then during their next attack she picks the opportune moment to strike a killing blow.

Valkyrie, Elion’s Chosen, is the new class for players on the Playstation 4.  Armed with a sword and shield, Valkyrie is able to use an assortment of offensive and defensive abilities, including:

  • Celestial Spear – The Valkyrie can knock her opponents to the floor by raising her sword to the sky and calling down a spear thrown by Elion himself.
  • Judgement of Light – By calling out for Elion to deliver his final judgement on those unworthy, Valkyrie can cause a powerful blast that makes enemies bounce high in the air, dealing an incredible amount of damage.
  • Sacrum Ferit – By using her shield to break the enemies defences, Valkyrie can charge in with her Lancia, skewering multiple enemies.
  • Hastiludium – The Valkyrie charges into her opponent’s front lines, hitting all those in front of her with a powerful Lancia attack.

By reaching level 56 players can awaken Valkyrie who provides access to a new combat style and the new weapon, Lancia.

Both characters are available for their appropriate console now.
