Benjamin Bratt joins Rosario Dawson in DC/Vertigo adaptation DMZ

February 9, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Benjamin Bratt has signed on to star alongside Rosario Dawson in DMZ, the upcoming HBO Max pilot from Ava DuVernay which is based on the DC/Vertigo comic book of the same name.

DMZ takes place in a near future where America is embroiled in a new civil war and Manhattan is a demilitarised zone, having been destroyed in the conflict and left isolated from the rest of the county.

As revealed by the site, Bratt will play Parco Delgado, the leader of one of the most powerful gangs in the DMZ. Described as “wildly magnetic, affable and equally influential,” he will stop at nothing to secure his rule over the DMZ.

DuVernay is serving as director and executive producer on the DMZ pilot, which has been scripted by showrunner Roberto Patino. Array Filmsworks is producing in association with Warner Bros. Television.
