Rumour: Red Hulk to feature in Marvel’s She-Hulk series

February 23, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Following on from recent (yet to be confirmed) reports that Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner will be guest starring in Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk, a rumour is now circulating that the Green Goliath and his cousin Jennifer Walters won’t be the only Hulks to appear in the Disney+ series.

According to GWW, the She-Hulk series is set to introduce the character of Red Hulk, the gamma-radiated alter ego of General ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, who is of course portrayed by William Hurt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This isn’t the first time there’s been talk of Red Hulk making the leap from the comic book universe to the MCU, as the character was heavily rumoured for Captain America: Civil War and was actually considered by directors Anthony and Joe Russo.

And, with speculation running wild that Marvel will be building towards the introduction of the superhero/supervillain team Thunderbolts (starting with Hurt’s appearance as Ross in this year’s Phase Four-launching Black Widow movie), one would have to assume its only a matter of time before Red Hulk does make his presence felt.
