2K unveils WWE 2K Battlegrounds with reveal trailer

April 28, 2020 by Gary Collinson

After the backlash against last year’s WWE 2K20, 2K Sports has announced that the annual WWE 2K series will be taking a break this year to allow developer Visual Concepts to refine the product. Instead, the publisher will court fan backlash with WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and arcade-style grappler from Saber Interactive, which received a rather, well… mixed reception when it was unveiled last night with the following launch trailer…

Described as “a completely new WWE gaming experience that will feature arcade-style action and over-the-top Superstar designs, environments and moves,” WWE 2K Battlegrounds is slated for release in Fall 2020.

What do you make of WWE 2K Battlegrounds? Could it be an improvement over WWE 2K20? Let us know your thoughts in the comments or on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
