FX renews What We Do In The Shadows for third season

May 22, 2020 by EJ Moreno

The campy Staten Island vampires of FX’s hit series What We Do In The Shadows will see another night.

The cable network ordered a third season of the show ahead of the June 10th finale of season two. Deadline reports that FX claims the second season was up 25% on season one, averaging 3.2M total viewers across all platforms, including FX on Hulu, through its first six episodes.

“We’re incredibly happy that critics and audiences are all in on Shadows,” Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX Entertainment said. “Week in and week out, the producers, writers, and our amazing cast continue to make one of the funniest and best comedy series on TV.”

Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Proksch star in What We Do in the Shadows. The series is based on Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s 2014 horror mockumentary film.

What We Do In the Shadows revolves around the vampires Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo Cravensworth (Matt Berry) and Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), familiar Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) and energy vampire Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch).

Season two of the series will wrap up on June 10th.
