Niamh Algar, Tom Felton, Diana Rigg and more join Hitler corpse thriller Burial

June 19, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Niamh Algar (The Virtues), Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Diana Rigg (Game of Thrones), Tom Glynn-Carney (Dunkirk) and Ian Hart (God’s Own Country) are set to star in the World War II thriller Burial from writer-director Ben Parker (The Chamber).

Taking place during the final days of World War II, the fictionalised tale will see Algar playing Brana Vasilyeva, a Russian intelligence officer leading a small band of Russian soldiers tasked with transporting Hitler’s corpse to Moscow. Coming under attack by German ‘Wehrwolf’ partisans, the team are picked off one-by-one with as they fight to ensure their cargo doesn’t fall into the hands of their attackers.

“We’re very excited to be working with Altitude on Ben’s second feature, with an ensemble of such brilliant, talented actors,” states producer Matthew James Wilkinson. “This unique and powerful story set at the end of the Second World War, should be a thrilling ride, as well as a thought-provoking mirror to current issues – how burying the truth allows evil grow back into the world.”

Filming on Burial is set to take place later this year in Estonia.
