Rumors are swirling that Donald Glover will don one of his great capes again to play Lando Calrissian in the galaxy far, far away. Initially reported by YouTube channel Kessel Run Transmissions: A Star Wars Network, Glover is reportedly in final talks to tackle the role of Lando again in a brand new series for Disney+.
The team behind Kessel Run Transmissions offered up the statement that “we’ve heard that Donald Glover is coming back as Lando in his own series.” While it’s only a rumour at this point, Jeremy Conrad of Star Wars Unity did note that the Kessel Run Transmissions team initially broke a story related to The Bad Batch, before any official Lucasfilm announcement.
Even popular media journalist Grace Randolph jumped in on this news, saying she broke this story way back in April:

While we wait for a formal announcement from Lucasfilms or Donald Glover on this, many fans are excited to see more of Lando in any capacity. Billy Dee Williams famously originated the role of Lando Calrissian and even returned for 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But Glover’s take in the spin-off film Solo won many people over with his enigmatic performance.
