Ridley Scott looks to add Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Adam Driver, and Jared Leto to Lady Gaga-led Gucci movie

August 21, 2020 by EJ Moreno

With Ridley Scott still shooting his latest period piece, The Last Duel, the filmmaker is looking ahead to his next project in a big way. MGM’s Gucci, which will see Scott team up with Lady Gaga, is reportedly looking to add some major names to its call sheet.

Deadline is reporting that Scott is eyeing the likes of Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Jack Huston, and Reeve Carney to his upcoming project.

Oscar-winner Lady Gaga will star in Gucci as the ex-wife of famed fashion icon Maurizio Gucci. Reggiani tried and was convicted of orchestrating an assassination on the steps of Gucci’s office back in 1995. She eventually served 18 years in jail before seeing her release in 2016. The media turned the initial cause into a frenzy with talks of an affair, calling her scorned, and giving her the label of a “Black Widow.”

Lady Gaga’s first film since A Star Is Born, Gucci lands at MGM as part of a package deal with The Last Duel. The latter will resume shooting this week, and Gucci will begin its production as soon as The Last Duel wraps.

Are you excited to see Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro team up with the singer-turned-actress in what surely will be an Oscar contender? Share your thoughts on social media by reaching out to us via Twitter or Facebook @FlickeringMyth…
