The Walking Dead showrunner teases an “epic clash” for the season 10 finale

September 30, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Angela Kang, the showrunner for The Walking Dead, has teased an “epic clash” for the upcoming season 10 finale.

The long-awaited season 10 finale of The Walking Dead is nearly upon us, made all the more important with the news that season 11 will be the show’s last.

Well, what can we expect from the episode? Showrunner Angela Kang has been talking to TV Line and has previewed the excitement to come during the final battle of the Whisperer War:

“Over the course of the season, these groups have been engaged in kind of a cold war, and now it’s exploded into this full-on fight to possibly mutual destruction.”

Kang says the episode will see an “epic clash” and that “there’s lots of scope to it, lots of story threads going on with our various heroes. It’s big and fun.

“What we wanted to show was how massive a disadvantage they are at. This is a horde bigger than they’ve ever encountered, and this is after Carol was able to take out some of it at the caves and some of it was taken out during the battle at Hilltop. So it really is this David-and-Goliath battle.”

Hopefully, the season 10 finale will be worth the long wait and will set up the final ever season in an exciting way.

The season ten finale of The Walking Dead will air on October 4th in the US and on October 5th in the UK.
