CryMor Gaming presents a history of fighting games…

When it comes to the fighting genre, everyone has a favorite franchise. Acolytes of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) will no doubt flock to the Street Fighter series, particularly #2; arcade cabinet fans, on the other hand, grew up with Mortal Kombat, and you would be hard-pressed to find a millennial who did not spend hours with their friends on Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Regardless of your choice, you no doubt picked a quality entry. So, with all these IPs constantly innovating the genre (and generating new entries every console generation!), the question becomes this- which was the best?
