Like samurai, ninja are a Japanese staple that have become amazing figures of their own. Impoverished mercenaries from the feudal era of Japan have grown into icons of espionage, sabotage, and sweet black robes.

As such, it’s no surprise why ninja movies are very popular. In fact, one actor, Sho Kosugi, went on to embody the concept of a cinematic ninja. Combining his many martial arts skills with awesome costume decor and terrific fight choreography, Kosugi created a number of essential ninja movies; here’s the highlights courtesy of our friends at Marvelous Videos…
