Zachary Levi’s The Unbreakable Boy adds Jacob Laval in lead role and fills out supporting cast

November 22, 2020 by Ricky Church

The Unbreakable Boy with Zachary Levi (Shazam!) has just rounded out its supporting cast. According to Deadline, Jacob Laval (The Plot Against America) has been cast in the lead role in the film from writer/director Joe Gunn.

The Unbreakable Boy is based on the novel The Unbreakable Boy: A Father’s Fear, a Son’s Courage, and a Story of Unconditional Love by Scott M. LeRette, and follows “Austin (Laval), born with both a rare brittle-bone disease and autism. What makes Austin truly unique is his joyous, funny, life-affirming worldview that transforms and unites everyone around him – especially his dad, Scott (Levi), who changes his life as he comes to see Austin not as the symbol of something broken, but the triumph of an indestructible spirit.”

Also set to star in the film in the film are Meghann Fahy (The Body Type), Peter Facinelli (Twilight), Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond), Drew Powell (Gotham) and Pilot Bunch (The Outsider).

The film is being produced by Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate.
