Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes star in trailer for The Dig

Netflix has debuted the first poster and trailer for director Simon Stone’s upcoming drama The Dig. Based on John Preston’s novel of the same name, the film features a cast that includes Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, Lily James, Johnny Flynn, Ben Chaplin, Ken Stott and Monica Dolan; take a look here…

As WWII looms, a wealthy widow hires an amateur archaeologist to excavate the burial mounds on her estate. When they make a historic discovery, the echoes of Britain’s past resonate in the face of its uncertain future?

The Dig arrives in cinemas on January 15th and on Netflix on January 29th.
