Channing Tatum to join Sandra Bullock in The Lost City of D

December 28, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Sandra Bullock has finally found her co-star for what is being described as a Romancing The Stone-style romantic comedy as Variety reports that Channing Tatum has joined Bullock in The Lost City of D.

The Lost City of D will follow a reclusive romance novelist (Bullock) who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum), until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger, and more romantic, than any of her paperback fictions.

The romantic action-adventure comes from an original idea by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), and recently saw its script updated by Cruella’s Dana Fox. Bullock will also produce under her Fortis Films banner, while Adam and Aaron Nee (Band of Robbers) will helm the film.

This marks Bullock’s first film since 2018, where she starred in Netflix’s Bird Box and Ocean’s 8. Tatum hasn’t appeared on-screen since 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle but will star and direct in the 2021 comedy Dog. The Lost City of D will mark the first collaboration between the pair.
