Gal Gadot says her experience on Joss Whedon’s Justice League “wasn’t the best”, supports co-star Ray Fisher

December 18, 2020 by Liam Waddington

Over the course of this year, allegations surfaced from Cyborg actor Ray Fisher who accused director Joss Whedon of abusive behaviour on the set of the Justice League reshoots, and now, another League member has shared their experience from the film.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times to promote Wonder Woman 1984, Gal Gadot spoke about her work on Justice League and stated that she didn’t enjoy working with Whedon on the reshoots.

“I’m happy for Ray to go out and speak his truth,” Gadot said. “I wasn’t there with the guys when they shot with Joss Whedon — I had my own experience with [him], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.”

The latest development in the ongoing saga came recently from WarnerMedia which concluded that its “investigation into the Justice League movie has concluded and remedial action has been taken.” However, there has been no clarification on what “remedial action” consists of.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf, Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, Jared Leto as The Joker and Ray Porter as Darkseid.
