Marvel’s She-Hulk will be a half-hour legal comedy

December 23, 2020 by Gary Collinson

With an insane amount of feature film and television projects on its slate for the next few years, it’s certainly going to be interesting to see how Marvel Studios will keep things fresh and avoid overkill as we move into Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A part of the Marvel formula that has served the studio well on the big screen has been incorporating elements of different genres into its various projects, and it seems that is going to continue with the expansion into Disney+ content with Kevin Feige revealing that the upcoming She-Hulk TV series is going to be a “half-hour legal comedy”.

The She-Hulk series will see Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany taking on the role of Jennifer Walters, criminal defense lawyer who finds herself transformed into the sensational She-Hulk after an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).

In addition to Maslany and Ruffalo, She-Hulk will see Tim Roth reprising his Incredible Hulk role as Emil Blonsky / Abomination. Meanwhile, Kevin Feige has also teased that other familiar faces could pop up in the courtroom, which – accompanied by the recent Daredevil / Spider-Man 3 rumours – has led to speculation that Matt Murdock could be set for a return to the MCU…
