Elizabeth Olsen loves working with Sam Raimi on Doctor Strange 2

January 14, 2021 by Samuel Brace

Elizabeth Olsen, one of the stars of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, says she loves working with director Sam Raimi.

While Elizabeth Olsen will next be seen as the Scarlet Witch in WandaVision on Disney+ this Friday, we already know we will also be seeing her in the role for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Stange in the Multiverse of Madness.

It was a big surprise when it was announced that the Spider-Man trilogy director would be returning to direct a new Marvel movie but it seems like Elizabeth Olsen is glad he came on board. Speaking to Collider, the actress said:

“I love Sam Raimi. He’s a lovely person and I really enjoy our playfulness together of just kind of allowing ourselves to discover new things. He’s a great energy and a very specific filmmaker and loves playing with his camera. It’s been fun.”

While the debate will continue regarding what are the best Spider-Man films, it’s great to have Raimi back in the Marvel sphere and it will be interesting to see what he brings to the table when it comes to Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is being directed by Sam Raimi and stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Mordo) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) as well as Xochitl Gomez (The Baby-Sitters Club) as America Chavez.
