Josh Duhamel replaces Armie Hammer in Shotgun Wedding

January 24, 2021 by Gary Collinson

The Jennifer Lopez-led romantic comedy adventure Shotgun Wedding found itself in need a new male lead last week when Armie Hammer exited the project amid a cannibal sexting controversy, and it seems they’ve wasted little time in bringing in his replacement.

As reported by Variety, Transformers actor Josh Duhamel is now set to star alongside Lopez in the film, which is being directed by Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) from a screenplay by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether.

Shotgun Wedding will see Lopez and Duhamel as a couple hosting a destination wedding with  lovable but opinionated families who get cold feet but are forced to fight to save their loved ones after the entire wedding party is taken hostage.

Duhamel was last seen alongside Transformers co-star Megan Fox in the family comedy Think Like a Dog and has Netflix’s comic book adaptation Jupiter’s Legacy incoming later this year.
