Warner Bros. announces new DC Showcase shorts featuring Constantine, Blue Beetle and more

January 31, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Warner Bros. has announced that the DC characters Kamandi, The Losers, Blue Beetle and Constantine are set to headline for new DC Showcase animated shorts set for release between 2021 and 2022.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment, and Rick Morales (Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge), the four shorts will be included as bonus features on upcoming DC Universe Movies releases, except for the lengthier Constantine short, which will anchor a compilation set arriving in 2022.

Up first is Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth!, a post-apocalyptic thriller which is directed by Matt Peters (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) from a script written by Paul Giacop. It will be included as a bonus feature on the home entertainment release of Justice Society: World War II in the Spring.

Further details on the additional animated shorts will be announced in due course.
