February 1, 2021 by Gary Collinson

THR is reporting that Ready or Not and The Babysitter star Samara Weaving is set to portray Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte, the American socialite (and sister-in-law to Napoleon) in the historical drama Liz.

According to the trade, Adam Leon is on board to direct the film, which will detail the life of the Baltimore socialite and “depict her rise in America’s social scene on the strength of her celebrity and wit during Thomas Jefferson’s presidency.”

Weaving is coming off a busy 2020 which saw her appearing in Bill & Ted Face the Music, The Babysitter: Killer Queen and Last Moment of Clarity, as well as featuring in the voice cast of the animated film 100% wolf.
