The Suicide Squad spin-off series Peacemaker adds Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji

February 2, 2021 by Ricky Church

With production having begun on The Suicide Squad spin-off series Peacemaker, director James Gunn has revealed two additional pieces of casting to the HBO Max DC series. Joining John Cena will be Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead) and Rizwan Manji (The Magicians).

Gunn did not reveal any hints as to the characters they would be playing, but he shared a funny anecdote of casting Ludlow as an alien in his Marvel sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and not recognizing her during her audition for Peacemaker without all the alien make-up.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, we do know the Peacemaker series will run for eight episodes and will be an action-adventure comedy that will focus on the origins of Peacemaker, “a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.”

The Peacemaker series will star John Cena alongside Lochlyn Munro, Chukwudi Iwuji, Annie Chang, Christopher Heyerdahl, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, and Steve Agee.
