Master of None to return in May, season 3 trailer released

April 28, 2021 by Ricky Church

It has been four years since the last season of Aziz Ansari’s Netflix comedy Master of None, but the series will finally make its return next month with the third season Master of None Presents: Moments in Love. Rather than following Ansari’s Dev, the third season will instead focus on Lena Waithe’s Denise and her relationship with Alicia, played by Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker). Watch the trailer below…

Master of None Presents: Moments in Love is “a modern love story that intimately illustrates the ups and downs of marriage, struggles with fertility, and personal growth both together and apart. Fleeting romantic highs meet crushing personal losses while existential questions of love and living are raised.”

The third season was written by Ansari and Waithe with production taking place in London over the last year during the lockdowns. The season will consist of five episodes following Denise and Alcia’s relationship with Ansari directing the season and making at least one appearance as Dev.

Master of None was created by Ansari and Alan Young. The series followed Ansari’s Dev life as he struggled with his romantic life and professional career as an actor. Ansari and Waite won an Emmy award for Outstanding Comedy writing for the second season episode ‘Thanksgiving’, which focused on Denise’s coming out story to her family.
