The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It receives R rating for “terror, violence, and some disturbing images”

April 21, 2021 by Liam Waddington

Ahead of its release in theatres and on the HBO Max streaming service on June 4th, 2021, the third instalment in The Conjuring franchise, titled The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, has received its age rating.

Much like the first two The Conjuring movies, the MPA has revealed that the Michael Chaves-directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It has received an R rating for “Terror, Violence, and some disturbing images.”

“A chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defence.”
