Unique FPS Stuffed coming to Steam Early Access this summer

April 29, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Waving Bear Studio have announced that their debut title, Stuffed, will be arriving on Steam Early Access this summer.  Stuffed is a first person shooter that attempts to reinvent the genre, making it one that can be enjoyed by all ages.  An announcement trailer and screenshots can be seen below.

Stuffed takes players into the dreams of Ellie, a little girl with recurring nightmares, and puts them in control of one of her teddy bears.  As a loyal teddy, players will protect Ellie from the dark creatures that manifest themselves as evil toys before they break down the bedroom door that leads straight to the sleeping little girl.

Players will fight waves of evil toys and the black sinister creatures in endless or limited wave modes and earn points which can then be used to unlock new map areas and weapons.  These maps are fully procedural and change and grow each night so no two games will ever be the same.

There will be a variety of weapons with which to kit out your bear ranging from a popcorn grenade to a cola cannon, but bears can also be customised with different outfits and fur patterns.

“Stuffed was originally conceived as an 18+ horror shooter but when we took early prototypes to conventions we had queues of younger gamers wanting to play. We realised how few FPS games are accessible to a younger audience, so we redesigned the title from the ground up: taking the mechanics and experiences enjoyed in mature shooters whilst ensuring the content appeals to a wide range of players. We love how, as the title’s grown throughout development, its reach and appeal has crossed so many barriers, whether that’s age, gender, nationality, and many other demographics.” – Waving Bear Studio

Look out for Stuffed arriving this summer on Steam Early Access.
