Young Rock star Uli Latukefu joins Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam

May 3, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Young Rock star Uli Latukefu has joined ‘Old Rock’ – a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson – in the cast of Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema’s DC Extended Universe movie Black Adam.

Johnson is starring in the title role as the DC Comics antihero Teth-Adam, an ancient Egyptian who is chosen by the wizard Shazam to serve as his successor and is granted the same powers as his future arch-enemy Shazam (Zachary Levi).

As yet there’s no word as to who Latukefu will portray, but given his Young Rock role a flashback appearance as a young Teth-Adam can’t be discounted.

Black Adam is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) and sees Dwayne Johnson starring alongside Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz and Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui and Uli Latukefu in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

Black Adam is set for release on July 29th 2022.
