Marvel announces new Hulk and Venom series and creative teams

June 4, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Marvel has announced the upcoming launch of two brand new series, with writer Donny Cates and artist Ryan Ottley set to take control of Hulk and Al Ewing, Ram V and Bryan Hitch picking up the reins on Venom.

Al Ewing’s groundbreaking Immortal Hulk saga will reach its climactic conclusion later this year, but the strongest there is won’t stay down for long… This November, the Hulk will return in an all-new ongoing series by acclaimed writer Donny Cates, known for his revolutionary work on Venom and Thor, and superstar artist Ryan Ottley of Amazing Spider-Man and Invincible!

This unstoppable team of some of the industry’s greatest talent will helm a bold new era of HULK that begins when Bruce Banner discovers a radical way to control the monster within. Could this mark the final end of the green goliath? Or will the extreme solution create something new – with massive consequences? Prepare to dive deep into the very core of Hulk’s rage in this thrilling epic that will explore this iconic character’s incredible—and destructive—legacy in a way no one has dared to before.

Following a blockbuster turn by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, Marvel’s resident master of horror, Al Ewing, and Ram V will take over the adventures of Venom — bringing the same style and sensibilities that made IMMORTAL HULK a smash hit. Ewing and award-winning author Ram V, a titan of terror in his own right, will work together to lend a dramatic and dangerous air to this twisted new vision of Venom! Rounding out this symbiote hivemind will be legendary artist Bryan Hitch, bringing his rich and detailed style to the Venomverse. The future of Venom lies in the hands of this mastermind team, and you won’t believe what lies ahead!

Hulk #1 and Venom #1 will go on sale in November and fans will be able to get a glimpse at what’s in store from both series with Marvel’s Avengers/Hulk and Spider-Man/Venom Free Comic Book Day titles this FCBD on August 14th.
