The Minions are back in new Saturday Morning Cartoon-inspired series

Since making their debut in Despicable Me, the Minions have become a massive part of pop culture. Like them or not, the yellow henchmen are beloved, and they are looking to bring some joy back to Saturday mornings. For many kids, Saturday Morning cartoons were a huge part of their life, and now Illumination will return some of that to their fans.

Saturday Morning Minions is an upcoming animated series focusing on the Minions doing their usually mayhem and madness. The series is coming to Illumination’s YouTube channel for the next 40 Saturdays. Yes, there will be a new episode weekly from June 2021 through March 2022.

With a new animation style and tons of planned hijinks, Despicable Me and Minions fans will surely enjoy this series. Check out the trailer here…

You can watch Illumination’s first original digital series every Saturday starting June 5th at 7 am PT/10 am ET. These 40 episodes will be released weekly from June 2021 through March 2022.

The next film in the series, Minions: The Rise of Gru, is set for release in the United States on July 1st, 2022, by Universal Pictures. Steve Carell returns as the voice of Gru.
