Netflix cancels Cursed after a single season

Deadline reports that the Netflix fantasy series Cursed has been cancelled after one season.

Based on the book by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, Cursed was a retelling of the King Arthur legends as seen through the eyes of a young woman named Nimue (Katherine Langford), also known as the Lady in the Lake. Miller and Wheeler executive produced the series with Wheeler also serving as showrunner and writer.

With the cancellation of the series, the cast have been released from their contracts to pursue other opportunities.

Cursed featured a cast that also includes Devon Terrell (Barry), Gustaf Skarsgard (Westworld), Peter Mullan (Ozark), Lily Newmark (Sex Education), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The State), Daniel Sharman (Fear the Walking Dead), Sebastian Armesto (Broadchurch), Emily Coates (Flack), Catherine Walker (Versailles) and Billy Jenkins (The Crown).
