DC goes medieval in Dark Knights of Steel series

August 14, 2021 by Ricky Church

This fall get ready to see the heroes of DC in a whole new way as Tom Taylor, the writer behind the Injustice comics and DCeased, is bringing them to the medieval world in the maxi-series Dark Knights of Steel.

The series comes from Taylor with art by Yasmine Putri. It will reimagine the DC universe as a medieval world which Superman’s ship crash lands on and feature many familiar heroes and villains in the new fantasy setting. The official synopsis reads:

An entire medieval world will be forever changed when a spaceship crash-lands from a doomed planet. Monarchs will die, kingdoms will rise, and what seemed the end of the world for many…was only the beginning! An epic high-fantasy story set in a DC Universe where nothing is what it seems…

From worldwide bestselling writer Tom Taylor (DCeased, Superman: Son of Kal-El) and acclaimed artist Yasmine Putri comes a generational tale of good and evil within a brand-new DCU!

A variant cover was also released which shows off DC’s main trinity of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman from artist Wayne Reynolds.

Dark Knights of Steel will go on sale November 2nd.
