Shudder ghost story Martyrs Lane gets a trailer and images

August 20, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its premiere this September on Shudder, a trailer and images have been released for the supernatural horror Martyrs Lane. Written and directed by Ruth Platt, it is based on her short film of the same name and follows 10 year old Leah, as she is visited by a mysterious guest at night who might be able to give her some answers to the questions she has about her family; take a look here…

In this unsettling ghost story, Leah, 10, lives in a large, old house with her family but can’t quite work out why her mother seems so distant. At night she is visited by a mysterious guest, who might be able to give her some answers. With a new challenge every night, Leah is rewarded with bits of knowledge that, when pieced together, threaten to shine a dangerous light on both the truth in her nightmares and of the world she lives in.

The film stars Kiera Thompson, Sienna Sayer, Denise Gough, Steven Cree, Hannah Rae, and Anastasia Hille.

Martyrs Lane arrives on Shudder on September 9th.
