Giancarlo Esposito confirms Moff Gideon return for The Mandalorian season 3

Although he found himself thwarted in his plans in the season two finale of The Mandalorian, it seems we haven’t seen the last of Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon as the actor has confirmed to Variety that he’ll be back for the third season of the live-action Star Wars show. So far, there’s been no official word from Lucasfilm or executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni as to the plans for The Mandalorian season three, although actor Carl Weathers suggested in August that filming was due to begin “within the next month” and it has been reported that it will air as part of Disney+’s 2022 slate along with Star Wars: Andor and Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream now on Disney+ and feature a cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Bill Burr, Ming-Na Wen, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, Timothy Olyphant, Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Amy Sedaris, Omid Abtahi, Rosario Dawson, Sasha Banks and Mark Hamill.
