It’s “Back to the Matrix” in the action-packed trailer for The Matrix Resurrections

Those of you who’ve wanted to take the red pill since it was announced that Lana Wachowski was set to continue the further adventures of Neo down the rabbit hole will find clues to the answers in the first official trailer for The Matrix Resurrections, which you can check out in all its “Woah” inducing glory below….

From visionary filmmaker Lana Wachowski comes The Matrix Resurrections, the long-awaited fourth film in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre. The new film reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles they made famous, Neo and Trinity.

The film also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Jessica Henwick (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens), Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter), Neil Patrick Harris (Gone Girl), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Quantico), Christina Ricci (The Addams Family), Telma Hopkins (Dead to Me), Eréndira Ibarra (Sense8), Toby Onwumere (Empire), Max Riemelt (Sense8), Brian J. Smith (Treadstone), and Jada Pinkett Smith (Angel Has Fallen).

The Matrix Resurrections is released in theaters and on HBO Max from December 22nd, 2021.
