Titane, The Father and Quo Vadis Aida? lead 2021 European Film Awards nominations

The European Film Academy has announced the nominations for the 34th annual European Film Awards, with Julia Ducournau’s Palme d’Or winner Titane, Floran Zeller’s Oscar-winning The Father and Jasmila Zbanic’s Oscar-nominated Quo Vadis Aida? leading the pack with four nominations apiece.

The above three will contest the top prize, Best European Film, alongside Juho Kuosmanen’s Compartment No. 6 and Paolo Sorrentino’s The Hand of God, while Julia Ducornau, Paolo Sorrentino, Jasmila Zbanic and Florian Zeller are nominated in the Best European Director catgeory alongside Radu Jude for Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn.
