Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts first look teaser debuts

Get ready to feel old: the Harry Potter film series is turning twenty. At least HBO Max is bringing fans a reunion to make them feel better.

The retrospective special will be part of a 20th-anniversary celebration for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts sees the film franchise stars come together for a magical look at one of the world’s biggest film series.

The first look trailer made its debut on Sunday night following Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses on TBS and Cartoon Network. Included in the teaser are Harry Potter stars Robbie Coltrane, Matthew Lewis, and Mark Williams. Check out the teaser here…

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson join other esteemed cast members across all eight Harry Potter films as they travel back to Hogwarts for the first time to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which premiered 20 years ago this year. The retrospective special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. The highly-anticipated retrospective will be a capstone event of the holiday season, dropping as the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, on HBO Max.

Coltrane, Lewis, and Williams will join an all-star reunion cast that includes Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, and even more stars.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts premieres on January 1st on HBO Max.
