Batwoman images introduce Bridget Regan’s Poison Ivy

January 12, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

The CW’s Batwoman returns with its midseason premiere tonight, bringing with it a new Poison Ivy in the form of actress Bridget Regan, and TV Line has the first look images of Regan’s Pamela Isley in full costume, which looks to be taking its cues from the Bat-villain’s appearance in the Batman: Arkham video game series, when it comes to the upper half, at least. See for yourself here…

“I wanted long hair, long nails, long lashes just like she’s growing — she is a plant,” states Regan with regards to her incarnation of the iconic Batman villain. ““I based everything on [the] idea that plants are better than people, and that was it. I was really drawn to her mission. I was drawn to this metamorphosis that she’s gone through — her extreme commitment to that mission, how radicalized she is, how passionate she is.”

Regan’s Poison Ivy will debut in tonight’s midseason premiere, with her story will be explored through flashbacks while, in the present day, Nicole Kang’s Mary Hamilton embraces her own transformation into a new incarnation of the villain after being infected by one of Isley’s vines.

Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder in the title role as the DC heroine alongside Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Robin Givens, Victoria Cartagena, Nick Creegan, Amitai Marmorstein and Bridget Regan.

Batwoman airs on The CW on Wednesdays.
