Marvel’s Ironheart series adds Anthony Ramos

February 10, 2022 by Liam Waddington

Per Collider, the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series Ironheart has cast In the Heights and Hamilton star Anthony Ramos in an undisclosed role.

Ramos will star alongside Dominique Thorne who is set to portray Riri Williams, a young engineering student and super-genius who designs her own Iron Man-style suit of armour using material stolen from her campus and begins fighting crime as the superhero Ironheart.

Ramos has had several high profile roles over the last few years including appearances in A Star is Born with Lady Gaga, the Disney+ release of Hamilton as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, and In the Heights, based on the musical of the same name by Lin Manuel Miranda. He is also set to star in 2023’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

While plot details on the Ironheart series are scarce, we do know that the Marvel live-action series will be penned by head writer Chinaka Hodge whose writing credits include the TNT adaptation of Snowpiercer and the Apple TV+ reboot of Amazing Stories. Ironheart on Disney+ currently does not have a release date.
