Netflix has released a poster and trailer for The Takedown, a sequel to the 2012 French action comedy On the Other Side of the Tracks which sees mismatched cops Ousmane Diakité (Omar Sy) and François Monge (Laurent Lafitte) once again teaming up to investigate a high-scale criminal case – this time under the watch of director Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, The Incredible Hulk, Lupin); watch the trailer below, which unfortunately is only available with some wonky Will Smith knock-off English dubbing…
Ousmane Diakité (Omar Sy) and François Monge (Laurent Lafitte) are two cops with very different styles, backgrounds and careers. The unlikely pair are reunited once again for a new investigation that takes them across France. What seemed to be a simple drug deal turns out to be a high scale criminal case wrapped in danger and unexpected comedy.
The Takedown arrives on Netflix on May 6th.
