Adam Sandler set to team up with the Safdie Brothers on new project

April 13, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Following the critical and commercial success of the Safdie Brothers Adam Sandler led thriller Uncut Gems, fans will be excited to hear they are set to collaborate once again.

Details are as sketchy as Sandler’s Uncut Gems character Howard Ratner, but IndieWire’s Eric Kohn revealed in an article about collaborations between upcoming talent and major actors that “Sandler and the Safdies are already cooking up another project.”

Benny Safdie will next be seen in front of the camera in Disney+’s eagerly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series, as well as alongside Emma Stone in Showtime comedy The Curse. Sandler is also heading to a streaming service near you with his Netflix basketball drama Hustle.

When we’ll see their third team up – the trio made short film Goldman v Silverman during their Uncut Gems downtime – is anybody’s guess, but considering how revered their last effort was, this could be one worth waiting for.
