Tony Kaye’s The Trainer adds Bella Thorne, Soo Joo Park and more

April 9, 2022 by Gary Collinson

American History X director Tony Kaye is back behind the camera for the first time since 2011’s Detachment with the dark comedy The Trainer, and with production underway we now have word on several new additions to the film’s cast.

As reported by Deadline, Bella Thorne (Measure of Revenge), Soo Joo Park (Sense8), Brock O’Hurn (The Righteous Gemstones), Laird Hamilton (Point Break) and Duke Nicholson (Us) have become the latest to join the cast of the film, which is led by co-writer Vito Schnabel who stars a Jack, “a down-on-his-luck fitness expert living with his mother in Los Angeles, who takes a maniacal swing at fame and fortune, trying to realize his version of the American dream.”
