Better Call Saul’s final season to return this weekend

July 7, 2022 by Ricky Church

The second half of Better Call Saul‘s final season will premiere much sooner than expected. AMC announced the premiere date for Season 6 Part 2 will air this weekend on July 11th at 9 PM.

The eighth episode of the season will “see an unexpected visitor putting Jimmy and Kim in front of the consequences of their actions” following the death of one of the series’ main characters. This will begin the final run of six episodes in the season’s second half, leading to the series finale on August 15th.

Better Call Saul is a prequel to AMC’s hit series Breaking Bad that explores the origins of crooked lawyer Saul Goodman. Bob Odenkirk has reprised his Breaking Bad role as Jimmy McGill has slowly morphed over the course of the series into the corrupt lawyer who bends the law for his clients.

The series also stars Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler and Tony Dalton as Lalo. In addition to Odenkirk, the series has seen several Breaking Bad actors return including Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut and Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring. These final six episodes will also see Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul as guest stars, reprising their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.

The final season concludes the complicated journey and transformation of its compromised hero, Jimmy McGill, into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. From the cartel to the courthouse, from Albuquerque to Omaha, season six tracks Jimmy, Saul, and Gene as well as Jimmy’s complex relationship with Kim, who is in the midst of her own existential crisis. Meanwhile, Mike, Gus, Nacho, and Lalo are locked into a game of cat and mouse with mortal stakes.

Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 will premiere July 11th.
