Emily Watson’s world is turned upside down in trailer for A24 drama God’s Creatures

Fresh off the boat following its debut at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, A24 has released the trailer for God’s Creatures, the latest film from acclaimed directors Saela Davis & Anna Rose Holmer (2015’s award-winning The Fits), which stars Emily Watson (Chernobyl, Punch-Drunk Love), Paul Mescal (Normal People, The Lost Daughter), and Aisling Franciosi (The Fall, The Nightingale) in a bleak story of secrets and lies among a small Irish fishing community.

In a remote fishing village, Aileen O’Hara (Emily Watson) is torn between protecting her beloved son Brian (Paul Mescal) and her own sense of right and wrong. However, a lie she tells for him soon rips apart their family and close-knit community.

God’s Creatures is released in cinemas on September 30,th 2022.
