Warner Bros. reportedly has three possible scenarios for the fate of The Flash movie

August 12, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

How do you solve a problem like Ezra Miller when you have a $200M blockbuster in the can? According to reports Warner Bros. has drawn up three possible scenarios, or timelines if you will, that will decide the fate of The Flash. That’s three more than Batgirl was given.

Following the mounting allegations piling up against Miller, including their most recent charge with a felony burglary this week, a source close to The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Warner Bros. have come up with three potential scenarios for their in-the-balance blockbuster.

The first would involve the 29-year old actor seeking professional help, followed by an interview and then limited press when the film is eventually released.

The second scenario would be in place if Miller didn’t seek help, and would mean releasing The Flash without any involvement from them at all, and recasting the role for any future projects featuring the character.

Finally, if the situation worsened and Miller’s position became even more untenable for the studio, they would be left with no choice but to scrap the $200M film.

All of this comes in the wake of a pretty tumultuous couple of weeks for Warner Bros., and the DCEU in particular, with the idea of cancelling a film that was meant to shape the future of this cinematic universe becoming a distinct possibility.

The Flash will see the return of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen alongside Zack Snyder’s Justice League co-stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, while Batman and Batman Returns’ Michael Keaton also reprises the role of The Dark Knight. DCEU newcomers include Ron Livingston (Office Space) as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu (Pan’s Labyrinth) as Nora Allen, and Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) as Supergirl.

The Flash will probably, maybe, could sprint into cinemas on June 23rd, 2023.
