Star Wars series The Acolyte adds Jodie Turner-Smith

September 8, 2022 by Ricky Church

The upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte has added Queen & Slim actress Jodie Turner-Smith to its cast, according to Deadline.

Turner-Smith is finalizing her deal top star in the show, where she will be opposite Amandla Stenberg as the lead. The details of both Stenberg and Turner-Smith’s characters are being kept under wraps, but Stenberg is believed to be playing an Acolyte, a Force-user who is training under a Sith and worships the dark side.

The Acolyte will take place approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and has been described as a “mystery-thriller that will take the audience into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.”
