80s slasher sequel The Mutilator 2 gets a teaser poster

December 17, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Coming off the gargantuan success of Top Gun: Maverick, the decades-later sequel is certainly in vogue at the minute, and it’s not just the big 80s blockbusters getting the belated foll0w-up treatment.

Earlier this month we saw the release of Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2 from Full Moon Features, and now via Bloody Disgusting we have a first look at the sequel to another cult 80s horror with the teaser poster for The Mutilator 2.

The follow-up to the 1984 slasher sees the return of original director Buddy Cooper and stars Ruth Martinez and Bill Hitchcock. New additions to the cast meanwhile include Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) and Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey At Night).

The Mutilator followed a group of co-eds who travel to a beachfront condominium for fall break, only to find themselves butchered one by one by a mysterious assailant. Plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps, but it’s not a stretch to imagine something very similar.

Expect The Mutilator 2 in 2023.
