Captain America: New World Order adds Xosha Roquemore

January 20, 2023 by Ricky Church

Atlanta star Xosha Roquemore will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in next year’s Captain America: New World Order, starring alongside Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson after he adopted the star-spangled identity at the conclusion of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Roquemore’s role and the film’s story is being kept under wraps. She joins a cast that includes The Falcon and Winter Soldier’s Carl Lumby as a former Captain America Isiah Bradley and Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres, who will become the new Falcon.

Other cast members for the MCU film are Shira Haas (Unorthodox) as Ruth Bat-Seraph, the Israeli superhero known as Sabra, Harrison Ford taking over the role of General ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross from the late William Hurt and Tim Blake Nelson making a long-awaited return to the MCU as Dr. Samuel Sterns/The Leader from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.

Captain America: New World Order is being directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) from a script by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The film is currently slated for release on May 3rd 2024.
