Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn is not clowning around in new Joker: Folie à Deux set photos

March 25, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Harley Quinn has never looked so chic and high-fashioned.

In new set photos from Joker: Folie à Deux, we get our first glimpse of Lady Gaga in a clown-inspired costume while the film continues to shoot. While not an official look at the movie, we get a small preview of the shocking fits of fashion and crime that will be becoming in Todd Phillips’ Joker sequel.

The megastar-turned-Academy Award-nominated actress will co-star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming DC sequel to 2019’s Joker. In these new images, it seems like a high-profile legal battle is underway.

Will Joker use his doctor-turned-criminal lover to help him escape the trouble he caused in the original film? This version of Harley Quinn looks to be rallying the troops, getting the public behind Arthur Fleck’s dangerous ways. Harley could be the flame that burns Gotham to the ground. Joaquin Phoenix reprises his Oscar-winning role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, along with Zazie Beetz’s Sophie, while other new additions to the cast for the sequel include Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born) as Harley Quinn and Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Harry Lawtey (Industry), Catherine Keener (The Adam Project), and Jacob Lofland (Mud) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

Joker: Folie À Deux is currently in production and is slated to release on October 4th, 2024.
