The upcoming Bad Boys 4 with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence returning in their iconic roles will see another familiar face from the franchise return as Deadline reports Vanessa Hudgens (Tick, Tick… BOOM!) will reprise her role for the Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah helmed film.
Hudgens starred in Bad Boys for Life as Kelly, a weapons expert working for the Advanced Miami Metro Operations unit, or A.M.M.O. She helped Smith and Lawrence’s Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett on their latest case as a mysterious assassin targeted Mike and the people in his life.
Story details for Bad Boys 4 are not yet known, but it will presumably pick up with Mike and Marcus now leading A.M.M.O. on new and dangerous investigations. Filming is expected to begin within the next few months.
After directing Bad Boys for Life, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are returning to their directors chairs for the next installment with the script having been written by Chris Bremner. Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad and Chad Oman are producing with Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman and Jon Mone serving as executive producers.
