Disney and Pixar’s Elio gets first teaser trailer

June 14, 2023 by Ricky Church

Disney and Pixar have released the first teaser trailer for their next animated film Elio. Starring the voices of Yonas Kibreab (Sweet Tooth), America Ferrera (Superstore), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) and Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond), the film follows a young boy who is taken up to space when he is mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador in a galactic council. Watch the teaser below…

Elio is directed by Adrian Molina, who previously wrote and co-directed Pixar’s hit film Coco, with Coco producer Mary Alice Drumm attached to the film.

An underdog with an active imagination, Elio finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.

Elio features Yonas Kibreab as Elio, America Ferrera as Elio’s mom Olga, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa and Brad Garrett as Ambassador Grigon.

Elio will be released March 1st, 2024.
