Saw X will debut first footage at Midsummer Scream 2023

June 27, 2023 by EJ Moreno

The hit horror franchise Saw is returning, and we’ve got our first look at the logo for the upcoming Saw X. Teased on social media this past week, Jigsaw fans were surprised with some real news regarding Saw X and even have an event to mark on their calendar.

The film, helmed by Kevin Greutert (Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter), will showcase its first look at the 2023 Midsummer Scream event this July. The horror convention said in an official statement:

One of the most iconic horror film series comes to Midsummer Scream for the first time ever this year, as Lionsgate brings Saw to the world’s biggest horror convention. On the floor of the Long Beach Convention Center, an incredible Saw experience invites Midsummer Scream guests to explore the horrific, unnerving, and unforgettable world of the Saw movies. It’s open to guests all three days of the event. And on Saturday, July 29, special guests who helped bring Saw to the screen will take part in a panel presentation that offers exclusive mind-bending glimpses into the upcoming film SAW X, coming to movie theaters this October from Lionsgate.

Little is known about the project, but it will mark the return of Tobin Bell and includes Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach.

Lionsgate teases, “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”

Saw X is slated for release on October 27, 2023.
