UK trailer for Alice Winocour’s Paris Memories starring Virginie Efira

July 1, 2023 by Robert W Monk

Alice Winocour’s (Augustine, Disorder, Proxima) moving drama of memory and loss, Paris Memories is released in the UK this August by Picturehouse Entertainment.

The poignant drama stars Virginie Efira (Benedetta, Elle) as Mia, someone trying to rebuild her life in the aftermath of a violent attack.
Inspired by the filmmaker’s memories of the 2015 attack on Paris’s Bataclan venue, the film examines fractured memory and working through personal trauma. Also co-starring Benoît Magimel (The Piano Teacher, Pacifiction), Paris Memories is a story of hope, humanity and compassion. Check out the trailer below…

PARIS MEMORIES follows Mia (Virginie Efira) as she struggles to make sense of her experience in the aftermath of a violent attack.  Her isolation and confusion leads her to meet with others who were there, including Thomas (Benoît Magimel) who she forges a close relationship with.  As Mia works through her fractured memories, she starts to rebuild her life and reconnect with the city she loves.

Paris Memories is set for release in the UK on August 4th.
